Flowers I've grown in past years

I love sunflowers. I grew these two years in a row. The deer loved these, as did Japanese beetles, so alas I had to stop planting them to avoid being so disheartened by the damage.

Moonflower. Lovely. Our zone 6a yard is more like a zone 5 in the timing of blooms because it is so elevated where we live. So, these normally bloom in August for most people in the northeast but they didn't start blooming until well after Labor Day. The vines grew all summer and have the most beautiful heart shape to them. The blooming white flowers looked lovely for a brief two weeks. On rainy days, the earwig bugs (not sure if these are pests but I'm not a fan of earwigs) seemed to like these flowers. No other pests seemed to bother them and the vines didn't get any powdery mildew or fungus. When the cold nights set in, the leaves got a bit spotted but that was it. The flowers would bloom after the sun set and they would unfurl slowly, one at a time, releasing a perfumed scent. Each bloom would only last a day. I really enjoyed this vine and only wish it could have bloomed earlier in the summer so I could enjoy it more.
