French marigold. I think this is the prettiest of the marigolds. They are very easy to grow but seem to grow slowly in my zone 6 (but elevated) yard once planted. They seem to grow faster in pots on the deck.

About Me

My photo
JerseyCityGirl
Chester, Morris County, New Jersey, United States
Hi, My name is Moira. I have lived in various places in the northeast. I grew up outside of Boston, and have lived most of my adult life outside of NYC and in New Jersey. I have lived in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Manhattan, and moved to Jersey City, NJ in 2003. I spent 10 years in Jersey City and now reside in Morris County, New Jersey. I have large flower gardens that continue to expand each year. My hobbies are growing flowers from seed, softball/baseball, photography, architecture, jogging, swimming, and walking around Jersey City and Manhattan. Forgive any fuzzy photos taken from my cell phone; I don't always have a camera on hand. I welcome comments about my flowers and gardening. I consider myself an intermediate gardener. I start seeds each year in my basement and transplant them in the spring. I grow mostly perennials and a few annuals. Deer are a real challenge in my yard so I plant flowers that deer don't like.
