A New Jersey flower gardener welcomes you to explore her flower beds. Watch as she shares her experiences with growing flowers from seed in New Jersey. Offering tips and growing experiences, in this blog you will learn about deer-resistant perennials and bloom times for various flowers grown in New Jersey.
I don't see many lupines grown in NJ because they prefer cooler nights. I live in a higher elevation area where flowers bloom a couple of weeks later than normal so lupines actually do pretty well in my garden. Occasionally they get browsed by deer so I use Deer Stopper spray to protect them. They usually come back each year by dropping seed. I prefer the purples over the pinks but I'm growing new colors this year and I will share my photos.
